Ashlee holds a B.F.A. in Dance from Montclair State University where she performed works by Martha Graham, Susan Marshall, Maxine Steinman and Jay-T Jenkins among others. She began her training at the age of 5 and has studeied as well as teaches ballet, modern, jazz, contemporary, tap, hip hop and musical theater. Ashlee has worked as a backup dancer and choreographer for Pop and R&B artists J-Mello, Lori Michaels, Gia Bella and Lala. She is teaching kids of all ages in all the styles.
Emma graduated from Harid Conservatory in Boca Raton-Florida. She danced professionally with the Texas Ballet Theater, Connecticut Ballet and Verlezza Dance. Emma recently graduated from Montclair State University (MSU) with a BFA in Dance. She has danced in works by Martha Graham, Bill T.Jones, May O'Donnell, Antony Tudor and Larry Keigwin. She received the Dean's Scholar/Artist Award for the College of the Arts at MSU where she will be teaching her first semester an Adjunct Professor this Fall. Starlight is proud to have such an accomplished Ballerina on the teaching team.
Jeff started dancing fresh out of high school jazz, contemporary, modern, tap but focusing mainly on hip hop and street jazz. He had the opportunity to travel and perform outside the US including London, and South Korea for up and coming pop artists. Jeff danced in opening shows for artists Akon, Don Omar, Toby Love and 80's star Shanon. As a choreographer he had a chance to teach in other schools. He loves to inspire kids of all ages to accomplish their best.
Jennifer graduated with a BFA in Dance from Montclaire State University. She has performed in works by Frederick Earl Mosley, Pat Graney, Martha Graham and Jose Limon. Jennifer has received the Dance Otstanding Performance Award from the County College of Morris as well as Choreographic Excellence Award from the College of Arts at Montclair. She is currently working in a new collaboration dance company, Proteo Media+Performance with Artistic Director Kathleen Kelley. Jennifer is very excited to share her knowledge and passion for dance with the students at Starlight.
Jessica studied and taught ballet, tap and jazz for 18 years before shifting her focus to partnered dancing. She enjoys teaching students of all ability levels in Ballroom & Latin, Salsa, Hustle, Argentine Tango, Country, Lindy Hop and West Coast Swing. She has been fortunate to have had the opportunity to compete and perform all over the US in West Coast Swing and Lindy Hop, and has been the coach of the Rutgers University Swing Dance Team since its formation. Jessica has been teaching children and adults for many years at Starlight and now holds the title of Dance Director at the studio.
